We lost Jerry Jeff Walker in October…

I posted this on Facebook, but they censored it. I guess Jerry Jeff cusses too much.

I attended seven universities and have degrees from two of them. Taught at four universities in four different states. Also did substitute teaching in secondary schools. Blues have been my religion.

I worked as a carnival agent with shows in the Southwestern Circuit (Eldon Short) , Inland Empire Circuit and Northwestern Coast Circuit between 1980 and 2008 at various times for various periods. I made more money driving cabs and working carnivals than I did teaching college. Regular carnies make six figures…

Jerry Jeff Walker Live – Mr Bojangles

I have great memories of Jerry Jeff Walker, helped him setup one time and saw him play several fairgrounds and carnivals in Nevada, Arizona, Texas and California. A great guy.

We lost Jerry Jeff on October 23, 2020

Walker was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017. He died of the disease on October 23, 2020, at a hospital in Austin, Texas. He was 78.
