“…the whole world is sinking and we’re not goin’ down slow. It’s way past time to organize, resist, stand up and fight back.”
Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The day was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly and in 2001, the General Assembly voted to designate the day as a period of non-violence and ceasefire.

“In March 2011, Clinton supported the NATO attacks on Libya to aid rebels in their attempts to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi, which … led to Libya becoming the failed state that it is today.”
“At home, militarized police departments allow officers to kill unarmed citizens at will with zero accountability, two weeks paid vacations and get out of jail free cards. And our leaders export this aggression overseas with illegal drones known to kill an average of 50 innocents per strike.”
American foreign policy under Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, when considered by the non-partisan observer, has a sense of continuity – and escalating and expanding aggressiveness.
“Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton… have endorsed, encouraged, enabled and funded unnecessary wars and avoidable profiteering for the corporate elite.”

“We have become the aggressor: exporting terror, munitions and wars in attacks on smaller and less powerful nations. “We spend trillions, killing millions, for the benefit of billionaires who pay no taxes, steal the taxes we pay and remain oblivious to concerns about our health, security and education.”
So far, PDX Police Bureau officers have been provided with a license to kill at will, even unarmed citizens, without accountability. This is the signal that various mayors and PDX City Councils have delivered over the last 20 years.
Jill Stein was honored to learn yesterday (Wed. Feb. 26,2016) that Chris Hedges,
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and fearless truth-teller, published an article on Truthdig entitled: “Why I Support Dr. Jill Stein for President”.
Los Angeles: I sat down for an interview with Robert Scheer of Truthdig, who has interviewed every president for the past 40 years. Towards the end he told me – on the record – “I’ve spent quite a bit of time interviewing people who became president or who were president… And so, just in this short interview – there’s no question in my mind that you’re every bit the equal or superior to all of the presidential candidates that I’ve talked to.” Needless to say, I was honored to get a thumbs-up from Robert Scheer, who hasn’t previously been a fan of independent politics. Yet another sign of the rapidly changing political landscape!
Faith may or may not have anything to do with religion, but it has everything to do
with common sense.

We have expanded the American empire and Bernie intends for this expansion to continue.
But this nearly “imperial” expansion of empire contradicts Sanders’ most passionate populist rhetoric.
“Shut-up”, You don’t have the microphone!” is not a good enough response to questions about war, peace, life, death, murder, chaos, decline and surrender.”
“Critiquing Bernie Sanders from the left can be a lonely project. There is a “hope”-powered hysteria surrounding his campaign, and bursting the “hope” bubble can produce a fierce backlash. The Sanders “hope” explosion is so fierce because capitalism has become a hopeless place.”
“Since the agreement will encourage off-shoring of investments and jobs and will do nothing to stop currency manipulation, the likelihood of a favorable result from the TPP corporate trade agreement is slim. The TPP should be rejected.” ~David Delk
