The United States Government has been run like a branch of organized crime: a special sort of American business… Funny business that ain’t so funny.
Voting for war has not been working for 36 years. When voting for Democrats or Republicans advocating war, you better think about the consequences of your actions.
“All of us are more than fed up with mediocrity, hypocrisy, lesser-evil, trickle-down, less-than-perfect settling for spending trillions and killing millions for munitions firms and billionaires who pay no taxes and steal what we pay.
This is more than “less than perfect.” This shakedown is organized crime, committed in our names and on our dime because we let it happen and it comes from both sides of the corporate aisles.
“Obama says his new rule without law gives him the right to murder at will. We are in a heap of trouble. We need the ACLU right now. And it is critical that everyday people wake up and smell the coffee before we lose the rest of our civil rights. Human rights are civil rights.”
Election year nonsense can be very painful.
We cannot continue spending trillions killing millions for billionaires in pursuit of corporate empire. Economists agree this military madness will bankrupt the country and destroy the nation between 2020 and 2030. We are teetering on the brink.
Corporate wars and profiteering have already bankrupted the nation. If we continue down this road, there will be a global recession while we are in full retreat.
Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The day was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly and in 2001, the General Assembly voted to designate the day as a period of non-violence and ceasefire.
We cannot continue spending trillions killing millions for billionaires in pursuit of corporate empire. Global economists agree this has already bankrupted the country and will destroy the nation between 2020 and 2030. We are teetering on the brink.
It is critical that we shut down avoidable wars and reinvest in jobs with justice. We can rebuild sustainable infrastructure and restore human resources by choosing peace over war. These are the tasks at hand.
Jamar Clark, 11/15/15 Minneapolis, MN:
Two Minneapolis police officers shot Clark, claiming he “interfered” with emergency responders helping an assault victim. Activists and witnesses maintain that Clark was unarmed and handcuffed when he was shot.
No officers have been charged with a crime for killing Jamar.
“Some people are so afraid they cannot find the courage to debunk the junk and face facts. And increasing numbers don’t want to know truths which may be too terrible to bear.” Timothy Flanagan
“Some people are so afraid they cannot find the courage to debunk the junk and face facts. And increasing numbers don’t want to know truths too terrible to bear.”
Dr. Jill Stein has a plan for revolutionary change. She wants to put everyday people back in charge.
“During her interview… Dr. Stein quoted Alice Walker: “The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.”
A look at both recent history and current events demonstrates that people do have more power than they may generally believe. … people in the U.S. and around the world are recognizing their power, and using it to further the cause of human rights.”
American foreign policy under Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, when considered by the non-partisan observer, has a sense of continuity – and escalating and expanding aggressiveness.
“Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton… have endorsed, encouraged, enabled and funded unnecessary wars and avoidable profiteering for the corporate elite. Eight more years of war is what they promise: dozens of unnecessary wars, thousands of avoidable drones and more troubling presidential assassinations which make murder without trial the new American rule without law. Trump agrees with wars for profit. But we have better choices! We can shine with Stein!”
“Establish a foreign policy based on diplomacy, international law, and human rights. End the wars and drone attacks, cut military spending by at least 50% and close the 800+ foreign military bases that are turning our republic into a bankrupt empire. “
