facesThe Abrahamic traditions are nearly identical.  They are based on faith.

“Judaism” (in the person of Abraham) established a dangerous notion about having one god, rather than embracing a panapoly of water, earth and sky gods all sqabbling among themselves.

A Jewish reform movement, led by a rabbi named Jesus, was transformed into “Christianity,” years after the spirtualist leader Jesus was judicially executed…

…Islamic theorists see Muhammad as a prophet, but significant numbers of Muslims and Christians endorse perambulations of a second coming of Jesus, the Jewish educator.

sunflowersKeeping these regular suspects in mind, all three Abrahamic traditions share certain articles of faith:

1. There is one God…
2. The greatest human task is love
3. Everyone, loving themselves, should love their neighbors

stopviolence
As much as I admire and respect faith traditions like deism and atheism, I find no evidence which supports either premise: God or no God.

An invisible man in the sky, perfect… yet with violent human emotions, angers and fears… seems like a natural contradiction.  Much of the bible, written by human beings, is vicious, cruel and filled with prejudice, hatred and vitriol.

Perhaps love does matter, regardless of what it may say in religious texts…  and blessings we bestow upon one another are more important than prayer, worship or invisible gods demanding our obsession under threats of fire, fever, fear, loathing, brimstone and devils with horns and forked tails who can light cigars with their fingers.

Silliness in the extreme…

In spite of art, fiction, science and Walt Disney… we are finite creatures in an infinite universe. Logic holds there have to be myriad mysteries  beyond our ken.  But instead of folding up and quivering in fear, we can embrace mystery until it blossoms into joy.
Life is fine!

joy3We’re all in the same boat.  We can be kind to one another, with or without an invisible old man in the sky or a devil with a pitchfork buried underground or in our subconscious. Rodney King nailed it.
We can  all get along without fear, compromise or surrender.
Courage cures fear.  joy1

ISIS and the CIA: Attack and Exploit for the Corporate Bottom Line

“Through terrifying headlines and shocking videos, ISIS is being used as a tool to justify war in the Middle East and to cause fear and panic worldwide. No, this is not a “crazy conspiracy theory”, it is simply the oldest trick in the book.

ISIS was created by the very forces that are fighting it.

“Through terrifying headlines and shocking videos, ISIS is being used as a tool to justify war in the Middle East and to cause fear and panic worldwide. No, this is not a “crazy conspiracy theory”, it is simply the oldest trick in the book.”

ISIS was created by the very forces that are fighting it.

Ever since the creation of democratic nations – where public opinion somewhat matters – the political class is favisions1ced with a dilemma: War is needed to gain power, riches, and control, but the general public has a tendency to be against it. What to do? The answer was found decades ago and is still used successfully today:

Create an enemy so terrifying that the masses will beg their government to go to war.

This is why ISIS exists. This is why the beheading videos are so “well-produced” and publicized worldwide through mainstream media. This is why news sources regularly come up with alarmist headlines about ISIS. They are used to serve the best interests of the world elite. The current objectives are: Sway public opinion to favor the invasion of countries in the Middle East, provide a pretext for “coalition” intervention across the world, and manufacture a domestic threat that will be used to take away rights and increase surveillance. In short, ISIS is yet another instance of cia-manufactured_terrorismthe age-old tactic of creating a terrifying enemy to scare the masses.

“Moreover, as America becomes an increasingly multi-cultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstance of a truly massive and widely perceived  direct external threat.”
– Zbigniew Brzezinski, The Grand Chessboard

isis

“…Meanwhile, Daesh, ISIS, ISIL, IS – or whatever its name – broke away from al-Qaeda to become the definitive regional, and even global threat.

Its pornographic barbarity provided a new bloodier banner for al-Qaeda affiliates throughout the region, with a prime real estate location to erect a whole new caliphate on Syrian and Iraqi soil.

In the process, the rise of ISIL gave a whole new momentum to American and Iranian interventionism in the greater Middle East.

peacedovemiddle
ISIL replaced al-Qaeda as the newest  pretext for pre-emptive and revenge air strikes, redeployments, war, and occupation.

Thanks to ISIL, the main losers of the Arab Spring emerged as the new hegemons.

Moreover, ISIL became the alibi or the justification for all regional warmongers to carry any atrocities.”

These avoidable wars cost trillions of dollars and millions of lives to enrich billionaires who pay no taxes and steal the taxes we pay.  Wars of choice (the Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump agenda) will absolutely bankrupt the nation before 2030.

The American people will see a frenzied retreat:  U. S. Military forces scrambling to disengage from 800 bases in more than 136 nations where we now  wage at least 27 wars of unprovoked aggression against nations and people who did not attack us.

We have become the terror.

mynzahosiris.wordpress.comWe could  shut down corporate wars and rebuild the nation. The seas of Earth are demonstrably rising. These waters will erode our shores and submerge nuclear reactors, further polluting dying oceans on a wounded planet.  Science fiction, facts and fear have brought us to this precipice and we have choices to make.

At this fatal and delicate conjunction, time is not on our side.

What if . . .  the CIA and ISIS . . .  with Alice in Wonderland

by Jerry Anderson

  •  visions4Trying to discern the true nature of the CIA and its secret operations is like going down the rabbit-hole.  It’s like Alice in Wonderland.  Like sitting down at table with the evil Queen of Hearts — the Mad Hatter, the Jack of Diamonds, the Cheshire Cat — and the rest of her crazy court.  Patriotically, we Americans want to think of this fraternity of spies as our White Knights —  champions for freedom, justice and the American way.  But it’s hard to square the country’s ideals with agency’s past and present practices.  This is an organization that has been in bed (quite comfortably) with some of the modern era’s worst dictators, rogues and tyrants.  Always for a good cause of course.  The same bunch who tried to kill Fidel Castro with an educsexploding cigar — who delivered us the Bay of Pigs fiasco, who were caught totally off guard when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, who had no clue about the genocide in Bosnia/Herzegovina, and who — following 9/11 — water-boarded, tortured and killed Guantanamo prisoners. (read the latest Congressional report) to extract under duress false confessions and other useless data that provided no reliable or actionable intelligence information, at least according to the committee that conducted the investigation.  I hate to be the one to tell you — but these aren’t the good guys folks.  No one in the upper echelon at Langly wears a white hat.

“For now she need not think of anybody. She could be herself, by herself. And that was what now she often felt the need of – to think; well not even to think. To be silent; to be alone. All the being and the doing, expansive, glittering, vocal, evaporated; and one shrunk, with a sense of solemnity, to being oneself, a wedge-shaped core of darkness, something invisible to others…  and this self having shed its attachments was free for the strangest adventures.”

“What is the meaning of life?
That was all- a simple question;
one that tended to close in
on one with years,
the great revelation had never come.
The great revelation perhaps never did come.  Instead, there were little daily miracles,
illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark; here was one.”

Virginia Woolf, To the Lighthouse

Gardening

here are few things that are as satisfying to a home gardener, than to wander out to the vegetable garden, harvest and consume the fruits of their labor. Successful vegetable gardening involves far more than just popping a few seeds into the ground and waiting for a tomato to appear. Planting is only the third step of the three ‘P’s. timcensusIn Marshalltown, Iowa…  more than a half century ago… Grandpa Bill Wilson, my mom’s dad, taught me lots about gardens. Next to his house and garage…
he maintained a fabulous garden with vegetables and flowers. He never knew
how much this meant to me.

I know the day before he passed on (he was 93 or there-abouts) he tended his garden. These bittersweet memories about gardens, joy and family matter. Uncle Roger and Aunt Zelma’s farm in Minnesota, the flowers out back of Nana’s place in Des Moines and my gardens in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Flagstaff, Missoula and Portland… were full of good memories…

once overwintered root crops,
such as carrots and parsnips,
resume growth in spring.
Harvest and use them now
before warm weather gets
them growing again.

courage1It’s 2015 and in America we just
had a year of turmoil, deaths and
dishonor with the Ferguson killing
of Mike Brown for running while black…
and the daylight, sidewalk murder of
Eric Garner for standing while black.

Every year more Police brutality, militarization and murders people of all races, creeds and cultures.  No arrests, prosecution, indictment or justice!

visions4Killer Cops are found not guilty
and the reason to justify it is their fear.

But murder is murder and we have laws
against homicide.  A badge and a gun
do not provide a license to kill at will,
regardless of the pronouncements of
police chiefs, mayors, or grand juries.
We cannot allow police bureaus and
officers to commit extralegal killings
of our children and loved ones.

We have a serious problem and it’s time to face facts and do something about it!

peace-justice“Everybody” has their own ideas
about what can work, how to do it
and what it looks like, but we can
get it together and walk the talk
while building support and
creating opportunities for change.

Economics equity is the answer.
But this will require peace, justice
and freedom.  We must get rogue
cops off the streets at home and
shut down corporate wars abroad.

We can think globally and act locally for justice.
