March 14 (1970) In an attempt to prevent the continued use of napalm by the U.S.during the Vietnam War, two merchant seaman, Clyde McKay and Al Glatkowski seize the vessel, Columbia Eagle, transporting 10,000 tons of napalm while en route to Thailand. Although the cargo of napalm was diverted and delayed, it was returned to the U.S. military following the surrender of the two mutineers.
