Fidel, Mohammad Ali and Martin Luther King gave me hope. But by 1968 I realized hope can disappear in seconds. Kennedy’s assassination was one of many: John F. Kennedy (1963), Malcolm X (1965), and Martin Luther King Jr. (1968). And soon to come were the murders of Fred Hampton and Marc Clark on December 4, 1969. But this saga of assassinations began in the fifties.
