Dr. Jill Stein is the right choice

Stein Calls for Transformational Solutions
to Address Climate Crisis and Wars of Choice…

(PARIS) In Paris for the United Nations climate conference, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein spoke at a forum on “Women Facing Climate Change”. Stein was invited to speak by the Women’s bradleydibble.authorsxpress.comInternational League for Peace and Freedom, organizers of the forum.

Here are her remarks:

Thank you for being here today at this conference on climate and militarism, and for leading the charge for a world that works for all of us.

This is an historic moment, as global crises of climate, security, the economy, and democracy converge in Paris.

In that regard, I want to convey my sincere condolences at the terrible murders of so many innocent civilians in Paris on November 13. The assault in Paris has now been compounded by the brutal shootings in San Bernadino just as the COP convened.  Thus the struggle against climate change in Paris is now embedded in a landscape of terrorism. Regrettably, this has been used as an excuse to silence civil society in a crackdown on gatherings and free speech in Paris. Consequently the corporate climate message is being heard loud and clear within COP21, promoting woefully inadequate voluntary pledges and false market-based solutions.

Our struggle for climate sanity is further linked to the fight against corporate-biased trade agreements, which will allow corporations to undo any climate progress being made.

This all makes the point that these struggles are intensely interrelated. We cannot solve any one of them without solving them all. This unprecedented, converging crisis calls for transformational solutions, based on democracy, justice and human rights.

As the crises are interconnected, so too the solutions are interconnected. I want to mention a couple, including some that are often left out of the discussion.
solvingtheclimatecrisis.com• Stop corporate trade agreements that drive environmental destruction.

• Launch a Green New Deal to transform our economy. In the United States this would mean 20 million jobs to create 100% clean renewable energy by 2030, revive our economy, turn the tide on climate change, and make wars for oil obsolete.

• A weapons embargo, beginning by halting US-Saudi arms deals ($100 billion in the past 5 years)

www.doomsteaddiner.net• Demand disclosure from national security agencies: who is really funding and arming terrorists? Release the redacted 28 pages of the 9/11 report so we can know who is behind the growth of extremist groups.

• Close Turkey’s border to terrorist militias. Turkey has already closed it’s border to refugees. How about closing it to terrorists?

Ultimately this is a political fight. It is critical that we stand up and stand together across issues, and across borders, to be a unified political force for people planet and peace over profit. The minute we stand up, we are unstoppable. It’s time to forget the lesser evil and fight for the greater good. The clock is ticking. It’s in our hands.

  1. Very beautiful and realistic words and Ideas.
For a Green World with peaceful harmony, freedom and equality between all citizen and countries.
For a Green World with Renewable Energy.
Success for Mrs. Jill Stein and her candidacy at Presidential Elections 2016 !!!!!!!

  2. Beautiful words from Jill Stein.
But I couldn’t find anything she said of ‘how’ she plans to obtain
    what our society should have.
    It’s all talk.
She’s going to have immense opposition.
How does she plan to deal with that.
Where are the details of that?

And ‘no’, you’re outright lying if you say Sanders is for war.
I would think you were better than the gop and centrist dems
    when playing ‘dirty’ politics.
    I guess not.

    1. Martin, she is the ONLY one who tells you exactly how she can provide what she intends to provide. All of the corporate cons, (Sanders, Clinton, Trump and Bush) want to continue spending trillions on war and profiteering, but promise you pie in the sky. Jill Stein will shut down those wars of choice and use those trilions to rebuild America. The corporate cons have been dragging us down for 36 years. Next November we can make a better choice. Stein can win the debate by telling the truth. Jeb and Hillary have nothing to provide in response. Given the choice between unending wars vs peace with progress, the American people…tired of war… will vote for Dr. Stein.

“Just being slightly less worse than the worst possible scenario is not acceptable. We have to be willing to stand up and throw off those chains of powerlessness. In the words of Alice Walker, ‘the biggest way people give up power is by not knowing they have it.’ We have it.”

Sanders has a record. He has voted in favor of 25 of our current 27 wars. He also voted in favor of allowing Bush to take us into Iraa and Afghanistan… and Obama to continue with this agenda. Bernie thinks war is good for his constituents. He is flat wrong. If you think he opposes war, check his record. He supports American and Israeli aggression. Just a fact.

“Following the 9/11 attacks, Bernie voted in favor of H J Res 64 – Authorization for Use of Military Force, which allowed President Bush to use the United States Armed Forces against anyone involved with 9/11 and any nation that harbors these individuals.”
