We CAN do the right thing.
The math is not complex. Instead of doling out corporate welfare to insurance firms, we can pay that money to deliver actual health care. As health improves, costs go down.

Lets inject some sanity into this madness…
If we are the richest and most powerful nation on this Earth, can we not do the very least which should be expected? Many of us believe in a Love Supreme, regardless of variable nuances about faith.
But everyday people in America have been told to be afraid, be very afraid, for more than half a century since the second world war. So they are afraid about asking for the simplest compassion extended by every other western industrialized nation on the planet. Basic health care.
“Some people are so afraid they cannot find the courage to debunk the junk and face facts. And increasing numbers don’t want to know truths which may be too terrible to bear.”
…In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A President and Legislature whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, are unfit to be the rulers of a free people.
…And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of the 99%, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
It is time, with this new declaration of independence from the corporate cons, that we take back this nation, and our lives, from these pretenders. Viva la revolution!
