The “Last Judgement…”

Historic obsessions and pretensions about “last judgement days” are melodramatic conjecture according to most people, including Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Atheists, Muslims, Existentialists, Agnostics, Humanists, Wizards, Christians, Shamans, Astrologers, Writers, Philosophers, Poets, Musicians, Teachers, Scientists, Fortune Tellers, Cartoonists and Artists…. 

“Last judgments” across history, are mostly blind-faith fear-mongering championed by kings, priests, preachers or shamans to fire up a scare.

Fear is useful for placation, divination, control and enchantment… but “goin’ to hell” journalism and evangelism are simplistic and dangerous formulas.

In this infinite universe, beyond our ken, we can enjoy life, people, creativity, imagination, wonder and good hearts instead of reinventing demons.

People are embracing courage and joy.

Ignoble traditions of kings, churches and princesses and sorcerers, built on rituals and myths, may provide sad vestiges of forgotten yesterdays… but with courage and vision we can live fully in each day: without fear, compromise or surrender.   Selah.
