Health Care instead of Insurance Scams: Universal, Single-Payer, Non-Profit ~OO~ Everybody In

Dr. Jill Stein – Healthcare – Washington, DC – 6 February 2015

Green Party candidate Jill Stein in Roxbury, Massachusetts on July 5, 2012.“We are squandering trillions of dollars over the coming decade on a massive, wasteful private health insurance bureaucracy. By moving to a universal, single-payer, nonprofit health care delivery system… we get a system that people want to defend from government tampering. Non-profit health care covers everyone comprehensively, puts you back in charge of your healthcare, and saves
trillions over the coming decade.

What we have right now is 30% of every healthcare dollar being spent on bureaucracy, red tape and paper-pushing. Under Medicare, that 30% shrinks down, but Medicare refuses to pay for 20% or more of health care needs.  This is not good enough. The money we could save with universal, nonprofit, single-payer health care would be enough to provide health care for everybody. And we deserve that.

Stein was endorsed for President in 2012 by Noam Chomsky, a linguist, author and activist, and by Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and war correspondent, among others. She is as real as it gets.”

Homelessness and lack of Health Care are devouring the middle class…
