The TPP, Keystone XL, and Climate Change:

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a proposed trade agreement that would set rules governing approximately 40% of the global econmy giving corporations new tools to attack environmental laws. This panel discussion will focus on the TPP’s Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) system. Currently, TransCanada is using ISDS under NAFTA, a smaller trade agreement, to demand $15 billion in US taxpayer compensation after their permit to build the Keystone XL pipeline was rejected. The panel will cover:
